What is ab etching:

Abdominal etching (or “ab etching”) is a specialized, high-definition liposuction procedure designed to sculpt a chiseled six-pack appearance. Instead of simply removing fat to reduce size, a surgeon strategically removes thin layers of fat around the abdominal muscles to artificially highlight their natural lines and contours.

How It Works:

At Outpatient cosmetic Surgery of Sarasota we specialize in Muscle Mapping: The surgeon studies your natural abdominal anatomy (the rectus abdominis) and marks the lines and grooves where your natural muscle sits.
Precision Suction: Using a thin tube called a cannula, they selectively remove shallow fat in the grooves between your muscles, making the muscle boundaries appear deeper.
Selective Highlighting: They may leave slightly more fat over the muscle bellies so the “abs” appear raised and more prominent.
